Ive got the answer I believe to your brake problem on your Harley unless you have already fixed it:
Today a Sportster came into the shop and the boss had me preplace the rear brake due to customer complaints of brakes dragging while backing up. I discovered that the piston wihich pushes the pad was at a slight cockeye angle.
This gave the pad an opportunity to "bite" into the rotor while backing....
Have the rear master cylinder and piston checked out to see if it is partially seized on one side....I bet it will be.
